ionizing voltage

https://doi.org/10.1351/goldbook.I03217
The voltage difference through which electrons are accelerated before they are used to bring about electron impact @I03183@. To obtain the true ionizing voltage, corrections for any contact or surface potentials must be made.
Note:
The term electron energy is frequently used in place of ionizing voltage.
