Measurement method of
nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy that allows detection of transient binding of small molecule ligands to macromolecular receptors.
Note:
Range of applicable dissociation constants is approximately \(\pu{E-3 M}\) to \(\pu{E-8 M}\). The experiment relies on ligand-signal attenuation through spin diffusion saturation propagating from the macromolecule.
