Term: fluoropolymers

Definition:
Polymers whose macromolecules are rich in fluorocarbon groups (structure-based polymer class name).

Note: Fluoropolymers are often used as electrets. Membranes from ionomeric fluoropolymers are used in electrochemical cells.
