Term: polypyrroles

Definition:
Polymers composed of macromolecules with backbones composed of pyrrole rings (structure-based polymer class name definition).

Notes:
1) Polypyrroles belong among conjugated polymers.
2) Polypyrroles found applications mainly in the field of sensors. Applications in electronic devices are still limited owing to insufficient stability of PPy.
