Sulfur-centered radicals having the structure RS· (RH). This term is derived from sulfenic acids. The synonymous term sulfanyl radicals is derived from sulfane, H2S. E.g. CH3S· methylsulfanyl or methanesulfenyl radical. An older synonymous term is alkylthio radical.
