chain transfer

https://doi.org/10.1351/goldbook.C00963
The @A00045@, by the @R05066@ end of a grow chemimging chain-polymer, of an atom from another molecule. The grow chemimgth of the polymer chain is thereby terminated but a new radical, capable of chain @P04881@ and @P04740@, is simultaneously created. For the example of alkene @P04740@ cited for a @C00960@, the reaction:
C00963-1.png
represents a chain transfer, the radical Cl3C. inducing further @P04740@:

The phenomenon occurs also in other chain reactions such as @C00910@.
