A commonly used term for a primary @C00840@ product (@G02697@ or @R05158@) from high-boiling hydrocarbon fractions (heavy residues of petroleum or coal processing) produced by the @D01578@.
Note:
Delayed @C01142@ has, with only a few exceptions, a better graphitizability than @C01142@ produced by other @C01144@ processes even if the same feedstock is used. Delayed @C01142@ contains a @M03722@ of volatile matter between 4 and 15 wt% which can be released during heat treatment.
