Ratio expressing the efficiency of a mass conversion process. The yield @C01124@ is defined as the amount of cell mass ($$\mathrm{kg}$$) or product formed ($$\mathrm{kg}$$,$$\mathrm{mol}$$) related to the consumed @S06083@ (carbon or nitrogen source or oxygen in $$\mathrm{kg}$$ or $$\mathrm{moles}$$) or to the intracellular ATP production ($$\mathrm{moles}$$).
