nuclear quadrupole resonance spectroscopy

initialism: NQR
https://doi.org/10.1351/goldbook.08388
Measurement method of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy where splitting of the nuclear spin states is determined by the electrostatic interaction of the nuclear charge density with the external electric potential of the surrounding electron cloud.
Note:
Unlike NMR, NQR transitions of nuclei can be detected in the absence of a magnetic field.
