Part of the solution of the matrix equation of normal coordinate analysis, GFL=Lλ. Each element Lik of L is a vibrational eigenvector, and gives the change in internal coordinate Ri during unit change in the normal coordinate Qk, as shown in matrix form by
 R=LQ, i.e., Lik=Ri/Qk.
Eigenvectors are sometimes expressed in terms of symmetry coordinates or Cartesian coordinates.

SI unit: kg1/2. Common unit: u1/2=2.45400×1013 kg1/2.
