Removal of photoelectron X-ray satellite peaks from a spectrum.

Note: For unmonochromated

Al

and

Mg

X-rays, the satellites usually removed are

K α_{3, 4}

and

K α_{5, 6}

. More sophisticated subtraction methods also remove the

K α_{2}

K α^{'}

, and

K β

satellites.
