The hypothesis that each of several structural features of a @M03986@ makes a separate and @A00134@ contribution to a property of the substance concerned. More specifically, it is the hypothesis that each of the several @S06076@ groups in a parent molecule makes a separate and @A00134@ contribution to the standard Gibbs energy change (or @G02631@) corresponding to a particular equilibrium (or @R05156@).
