The ratio of two Rayleigh ratios for different angles of observation, i.e. z(θ1,θ2)=R(θ1)R(θ2) θ1<θ2 The angles must be specified; in light scattering it is customary to let θ=1θ1 and, most frequently, θ1=45 and θ2=135.
