. It can be calculated from the relative
standard deviation
by multiplying by 100. Comment: It is recommended that the 'relative
standard deviation
' be reported, rather than the 'percentage
standard deviation
', in order to avoid confusion where results themselves are expressed as percentages. The term '
coefficient
of variation' in place of 'relative
standard deviation
' is not recommended.
