heteronuclear decoupling

Synonym: decoupling
https://doi.org/10.1351/goldbook.08351
Spin decoupling in nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy between two different nuclei (e.g., A13A2213C and A1A221H) by appropriate excitation of the decoupled nucleus.
Notes:
  1. Heteronuclear decoupling is normally performed to simplify spectra or to enhance signal-to-noise ratio by combining individual components of the NMR signal.
  2. Notation: A13A2213C{A1A221H} denotes observation of A13A2213C nucleus with simultaneous decoupling of A1A221H nuclei.
