## transmission high energy electron diffraction (THEED)

Also contains definition of: selected area electron diffraction (SAED)
https://doi.org/10.1351/goldbook.T06483
Any technique which is based on the @D01711@ of high energy electrons ($$E_{0} = 10-200\ \text{keV}$$) in crystalline materials and evaluation of the @A00351@ of the transmitted electrons. The @D01711@ pattern represents an image of the reciprocal lattice and therefore contains information about crystal structure. This technique is also often called selected area electron @D01711@ (SAED). For @C01279@ with other electron @D01711@ techniques, however, the term THEED is recommended.
