Polymers composed of macromolecules with backbones composed of pyrrole rings (structure-based polymer class name definition).

Note 1: Polypyrroles belong among conjugated polymers.

Note 2: Polypyrroles found applications mainly in the field of sensors. Applications in electronic devices are still limited owing to insufficient stability of PPy.
